A voki is an interactive audio player that you can design, and give speech to. On the voki website you can make any type of voki you want. I started my voki off in the create tab. Once you are there is gives you man different characters to choose from for your design.  They have many types of human like characters but if you want you could also have and animal or robot as you voki character.

After you pick what character you want, you can give it clothes. My voki was a dog with a necklace. Once you have picked and fully clothed your character you can start on what you want it to say. There is an audio and text tab that lets you type what you want it to say. In this tab there are a lot many chooses for voices and languages.  After you have pick out you character and gave it a voice you are near to done. You can now watch you tiny character talk over and over again.

A color wheel is a type of art tool that help make color chooses easier. A color wheel shows the twelve most basic colors. It includes primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. A color wheel is manly used to point out complementary colors, or colors that go very well with each other. The color of an art piece matters and many artist refer to a color wheel to find the best match of colors for the scene of their art.

Pablo Picasso used lots of the colors shown on a color wheel. In his pieces he uses a lot of different colors and variations of colors. He uses the color wheel to keep some harmony and consistency with his colors. His pieces show many complementary colors which really pulls his whole artwork together. He is not the only one many artist use the color wheel the same way he does.

Today is the last day that I can chew gum, and I am really sad. Gum is my favorite food ever, and I chew it all the time. Tomorrow I am getting braces, and I’m freaking out. When I get my braces on I can’t chew gum, or at least that’s what people tell me. My plan for school today is to chew as much gum as possible.

I woke up this morning, and put a piece of Double Bubble in my mouth. Today is Monday and school starts in thirty minutes. I asked my Dad, as sweetly as I possibly could, if he would take me to the store to buy me gum. He agreed, so I got ready, and we left the house.

At the store I practically ran to the candy aisle and grabbed as many different gum flavors as I could. I had peppermint, spearmint, fruit, soda, and chocolate flavor gum in my hands. It didn’t matter what brand or what color - I had to have every kind. We got to the check-out line, and the lady behind the counter, even though she was half asleep, stared at me with a bizarre look.

I planned on having one piece every single hour of the day. However, when I got to school, I remembered that it is hard to keep your gum to yourself when everywhere you turn someone is asking for a piece. That’s just how school is; if one person has gum, it is like a Hunger Games battle to see who gets a piece to survive.

I managed to keep one piece of each flavor for myself. By the end of the day I had eaten more than my dentist would ever suggest anyone eat in a single day, but I think it was worth it. Don’t tell my dentist, but I think I might just have a piece of gum every now and then even with my braces, so I don’t forget what it tastes like

Tagxedo is a picture converted into and image made up of different words. For our project we took picture of ourselves in front of a white background so it would not show up in the picture. We chose about twenty words to use for the image. We chose the words based on a worksheet we did that had questions about what type of person we were.

The words that we chose for the image of ourselves are supposed to describe us. Three of my words were loving, helpful, and artistic. These three reflect me the most because I would not be myself without these three elements of my personality. I chose loving because to me love is what is important to the lives of everyone including mine. Helpful is one of my words because everyone can use a hand at one time or another and I push myself to be the person that is willing to lend a hand to someone in need. In my life everything revolves around me doing some type of art I love to draw and paint, but I also love music.

This assignment was not to show the outlined portrait of someone. It was to show more of what you would see in the person rather that what is on the outside. This image to me shows more of a true representation on who someone really is. When you look at a picture or portrait it shows you what the person looks like or what they are doing but it doesn’t really reach a level of understanding much about the person. That’s why I think this was a very impactful project.

Graffiti is a way of street art. Usually it is on walls outside in cities of high populated areas. It is spray paint, used to make words of graphic designs in bold colors. Most of the time graffiti is used to make a statement. It is something that will grab the attention of whoever passes upon it.

To make a digital graffiti wall, first type in your name or a word you would like to use. The select a color from the many options for the shade and outline of the word. After selecting a color pallet, make the background white and save the image. Do this with different words as many times as you like and then put them on a power point to place them on a brick background.

For the graffiti wall we chose six words that disciplined us. One of my words was perfectionist, and this really describes me because everything I do I feel as though should be perfect and to the best of my ability. It also has to do with another of my words, artistic. I am artistic and being a perfectionist helps me to do better than I can normally. My last big word was caring, I care about everything I do and say. Peoples feels matter extremely to me. I chose all the words and more becasue they describe what kind of person I am.

Arcimboldo  liked to incorporate nature into his portraits. For different seasons he would include nature that has to do with it. He also did various food and sea creates. He wanted to do more than just the traditional portrait. Most of his portraits are on traditional religious subjects. Each of his object were related by characterization.

In my artwork I chose food. I chose these foods not only because I like them but because they are known foods. In my art the food character had a hand showing and is eating a strawberry, I did this to show how the world works. My concept is eat or be eaten.

I think it is not a good idea to take time out of the school day to build school spirit. Though it might be fun to have less time doing work and more time having spirit, it is not a smart way to use our time. Our time needs to be used for work and learning not for school fun. School spirit may be important but it could be achieved with fun activities after school, or on Fridays have pep-rallies during 8th period when there is not any learning going on.

We descended into the dark slimy pit. The air was cold and crisp, every thing was covered in the water coming from a hole in the pit's wall. It was difficult to see more than six feet below us but that wouldn't stop us. At some points it felt like the the damp walls were closing in, but they weren't.

Are you keeping calm? Keep calm posters became a world wide phenomenon.  These posters spread hope and courage who had little to none. It gave strength to people that were considered weak. So, can you keep calm and carry on?

The keep calm poster originated around the time of World War II. These posters where originally used as propaganda. The posters was a bright background, with simple writing, topped with a symbolic crown.. These were used to encourage people for the hardship ahead. By the end of the war in 1945 most of the posters had been destroyed. Sixty years later they were rediscovered and brought back.

These posters gave people hope, hope that the war had ripped from them. It was the hope that kept them sane. They kept people going when it was too hard to bare. Helped people get through war and struggle. I got people through WWII.

The world needs something that could help people want to keep going. It is important to have even the smallest beacon of hope. The posters " Keep Calm and Carry On" really did help people to keep going. What can we do if there is no hope? We have to make hope to keep going.

The keep calm posters made a big impact on the world. It crated light for people in the dark. When it started many years ago it was small, now many years later it has grown to something big. It was a flame of hope and love. It started something.

When you look at a person with Asian ethnicity, do you automatically assume that they are smart? Most people in the world assume that they are exactly the same. This is a big problem in the world, people over-generalize and put people in categories they don't necessarily belong.

People around the world shouldn't be classified by there race. Here is the problem, their race does not define them. How do people thinking it is okay to categorize all people of a race the same? Its not okay, because they are not all the same. Why do we do this?

People are grouped by how they look, which is a human being automatic response. A humans brain is wired to look at someone and grouping them based on any similarities. What needs to be fixed is not that people group, its that people, over-group and over-generalize. People shouldn't assume qualities about someone before even speaking. This is a problem that desperately needs to be fixed.

What can be done? The world can fix this by, stopping looking at people and assuming that they fit the stereotype that they are given is right. Even though people look the same or come from the same place doesn't make them the same. All over the world people are different. People find a way in any circumstance to find differences between people.

Stop generalizing people, people are different and will always be. Just because someone is a certain race doesn't mean they are not different. Humans are ment to group but don't let yourself do that. The world has fixing but it isn't that far away. Everything could change.
