Isaac C

To create my voki avatar, I had to follow a specific set of instructions including some were I had to make my own understanding of. To begin, once I had created an account and entered the create tab, I started by designing the way my avatar looks. As you might have noticed, I chose my voki to be the biblical character Moses. Right after that I decided to chose what the background of my avatar's profile. For me I thought it particularly easy to decide since I chose Moses as my avatar. Afterwards I gave my voki something to say, what he said was a introduction telling you who I am. Right after giving my voki something to say I had to give it a voice. To finish my creation, I published my voki to this page for your enjoyment.

Color Wheel

The use of the color wheel is not only for art, it is also a scientific tool. Created by Sir Isaac Newton, the color wheel was formed by the sunlight being broken up into different colors. It was a color spectrum meant to show every aspect of color that we see. Regarding the scientific part of the color wheel, I'm am sure that the art aspect is important to. The color wheel helps artists give their painting, picture, photograph, image, design, etc. emotion. However, this does not mean that artwork with more color is better, it is all about how the outcome of the creation is because in the end no matter the results, their will be people to judge to say which of the two dominates.

In Vincent Van Gogh's painting "Starry Night" he used the colors red, yellow, and orange to create his vision of the stars. When he did this it gave each star the resemblance of it being its own spectacle. The unity of this piece of art spiraled in the sky around the stars and the city below waved with a relaxed motion. Altogether this painting contrasted one color from another by moving each color apart from that of its oppisite.

Their once was a man, who was about to turn 43, who went by the name of Gonzalo. His friends at work decided to through him a surprise birthday party. They had it all figured out, after all, they can’t be that hard to plan. It was the middle of May, and it was only two days away from Gonzalo’s birthday. Gonzalo couldn’t have thought of what his friends were giving him, but he did notice that his friends were not talking to him as much as they used to.

His first assumption was that they were busy just like anybody could be this early in the week. He was surprised by how they were acting. Now that he thought of it, did anybody actually care about his birthday? Maybe they have just outgrown what they use to think was fun. This circumstance has put Gonzalo into a less excited state.

He walked in to his cubicle next morning, and everything was going how it would any other day. Except his boss called him in for an unexpected meeting. As he came into vision range of the office he noticed that the lights were off, but the door was not locked. So he curiously he walked inside to find not only his boss but everyone else on his floor in the room to give him a surprise that put such a look on his face that even those there could not describe. Gonzalo had never been happier in his life.

His friends walked over to him and hugged as well as congratulated him. Once the crowd dispersed, the cake was revealed. He felt like a child opening Christmas presents. He was definitely not the only one staring at the cake with joy.

His boss was the one to cut the cake, and he glanced at him with a small grin. Gonzalo did not want this party to end. Although, in time, it had to. With cake in his and his companions' stomachs they walked back to their cubicles and continued working with a different attitude.

This piece of art is a portrait of me shaped out of words that I think describe me. What I was assigned to do for this task was to take a picture of myself in front of a white background. I would then transfer this image to http://www.tagxedo.com. The image that comes out on this website is not going to be in color. You have to tamper it until you like the image. Finally I typed in words that I thought described me and submitted these words, and unless you didn’t want to you can change the theme of the picture.

The words that I used that most described me were loyal, kind, respectful, helpful, and reverent. To be loyal it means that you give allegiance to whatever you support or work for. Being kind can mean that you have to be some of the other words that I used to describe myself; respectful and helpful can link to kindness. To be respectful I have to understand and acknowledge peoples circumstances. To be helpful I can lend a hand to someone who needs it the most. Everyone has their own way of being reverent, in my case I am reverent to my God by doing what I believe he guides me to do.

This portrait is important to describe anyone because rather than be able to judge someone by how they look, you can see what they and other people think of them. This gives a more accurate representation of their personality. In order to tell someone who you are, it is not best to show them only an image. It is best to give them a message describing who you are rather than what you look like. I’m sure you have heard the phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover,” well in this case, that is the reason from this task. Taxedo can help you accomplish how you want people to view you.

According to Google, graffiti is “writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place.” Graffiti has a lot of different reasons, but one major one is that people want to be heard or noticed. Many times you might see a message that could seem like it’s important, but it doesn’t make sense, that’s can be a reason as well. I do not personally appreciate how some graffiti artists paint profanity just for attention, but for those who are trying to get a message out it is perfectly fine. Although, those who have something important to say can be shut up in an instant.

To create my wall went to the website http://postergen.com/graffiti-creator. Once you get there you should find a box that says “Your Name”. In this box you will type your name in it and the words that you used to describe you. Play with the fonts and colors until you get it to the way you want it. Then you will find a picture to use as a background to use for your words to go over in a PowerPoint slide. Take your background and words and place them into a PowerPoint slide. Save your work as a JPEG image to complete your wall.

I chose these specific words because I thought that they brought out what truly be in large situations. Whoever I am following I will give my honor to them and be loyal to their standards. And in my loyalty I will be this way with a good attitude, so I can be happy while I am being loyal. To be loyal you have to be willing to do what that person tells you to do. Practically, one of the words that I used to describe me can be linked to one of the other words.

The major thing that provided Acrimboldo with motivation to create the food face was his original way of painting. Originally, he and his father were included in artwork that required much color. His father made stained glass, and Acrimboldo did similar things that were looked peculiar to locals. His art mimics the organic element of art. It takes simple objects and gives more value.

For as long as I could remember, Disney World was my favorite place to go for vacation. In my picture, some of the items I used resemble different areas of the world. In the Disney Park Epcot, one area is a jumble of countries. In each country it is more than just their food that you can find. A summary of their culture is released to those who are eager to learn.

John Adams was elected into office in 1797. He served as president for one term. Not only did he serve as president, he also was vice president for George Washington. He was our first vice president and served as one for eight years.

Recognized as one of our founding fathers, John Adams was a leader of American independence from Great Britain. He was a political theorist during the Age of Enlightenment. In this occupation he promoted republicanism and a strong central government.

John Adams’s son became the sixth president of the US. John Adams secured his role as vice president by being included in the revolutionary war. Being one of our founding father, that means that his name is at the bottom of the Declaration of Independence.

I do not think that we should take time out of instruction to build school spirit because it would not be necessary to our students. We should spend more time with instruction because that is what matters the most to our education. I’m not saying that we should take fun of learning, I am just saying that we have enough spirit to move forward with this school.

You’ll most likely learn more if you’re having fun, and the majority of this school probably would not care for an activity removing them from their learning environment. They might enjoy being in a small group of friends rather than in a large crowd of people they don’t care for. We do not need to be taken from what is best for us.

For us students to stay in the learning program we should not be taken away from our zone. However, if the school spirit activity was combined with our classwork than we might be able to kill two birds with one stone. We would want to be efficient with our school’s progress would we not?

Creating my zentangle made me feel like there was an extremely basic side to art. When I was making my zentangle I used patterns that I thought represented a lazy and relaxed feeling. I considered how these patterns would look over the colorful background. Creating a zentangle is a great outlet to describe how you feel.

At the beginning you start with a blank sheet of paper. Then you use shaving cream with food coloring in a rainbow pattern which you would mix together. Afterwards you take your blank sheet of paper and gently press it against the shaving cream. You would then get rid of the shaving cream by scraping it of it one swipe. You’re going to have to let it dry before you begin drawing. Once dried, you may write connecting patterns in whatever order you want them to.

I made my zentangle look dark and moody in the digital process because I wanted to give my zentangle the feeling that I described in the beginning of this prompt. Even though the image came out to be dark in the end, the color and patterns were visible. Creating a zentangle is arts version of a free verse poem.

From 1955 to 1972 the United States and the United Socialist States of Russia (USSR) were battling to see who could make it into space first. There was much tension between the two nations as they were afraid of what the other nation could be capable of if they could send a person into space. After all, when this occurred the Cold War was already happening. This meant that if one country could send a man into space, they could probably figure out how to send a devastating missile towards another country. The Cold War consisted of mostly threats and showing which country is dominant.

I suppose that one question people might ask themselves is what if they could go back in time to change that event? Well if they wanted to make a nuclear free world than they would have to go further back towards the end of WWII. The first and hopefully the last time an atomic bomb was used was against Japan in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Our nation along with practically everyone else besides Japan thought that their militarism was getting out of hand. So to end the violence we caused an extreme amount of it.

Even though the war was over, the Japanese worshiped their leader like a god. Even though the United States and the Soviet Union were no longer at war with each other, there was still much tension. On the visible part of the Popsicle’s stick, it reads “Yes Please” in Russian. I put this in order to give a message that we should stop making an immense amount of weaponry if we are not even going to use them. I completely agree with the idea of war, it is just that there is a point where it is unnecessary.

Even if we could go back in time and change those mistakes I don’t think it would even make that much of a difference. However we can prevent ourselves from doing those things again. I do not know of to many people in the world who would want to cause that amount of devastation again. We would want to keep the some peace that we have. Maybe we could work from here which I’m sure that most of us are.

I suppose that we have to go into the past in order to change the future. In towards the future they might look back at us and learn from our mistakes. We can use our ability to think of what is most likely going to happen in the future to plan ahead of time. If we could take a step forward without having to wait that could provide us with a greater world. And this is not the only area that we can change.

Crime is a serious issue in America and we need to do the best we can to prevent it, Crime has been an issue for many years and it will keep being this way if we give up. Crime is not common everywhere, but in the places where crime is most concurrent is where we need to start. Letting it get out of hand is what has caused most news channels to have something to talk about. There are many reasons of why crime is committed, but it there is little of it why should we need a reason.

Crime can only get worse if not treated seriously. I understand that there are people doing the best they can to keep crime contained, but in these causes sometimes there is too much crime and not enough police. They need our support, in order to do this one method is to discourage violence. Fighting one another to achieve dominance has never officially made either person happy towards one another. The person who won will probably still dislike the person they defeated, and the loser will hat them for it.

If someone is raised in a community where crime is common, they might be influenced to commit heinous acts themselves. The “Routine Activity Theory” says that if there are no controls restricting someone from an attractive target, than offenders will hunt these targets. These targets can range from an object that someone would steal, to a person someone wants to kill. These motivations that cause people to act this way include people who are relatively close to the sibling, peers, teachers, and other similar people.

Crime causes people to live unhappy lives. Harsh conditions assure people that they are never completely safe. Major fear can be inflicted on those who live in areas where crime is compulsive. Being forced to move or stay at the risk of being harmed is not an easy life.

I suggest that raising awareness is a good idea. If we spread the idea of how important this issue is, than it can end quicker. In my eyes it is similar to how you can defeat a bully. If you get the bystanders on the victim’s side you’re more likely to win. In our sense, crime is the bully.

The “Keep Calm” phrase has passed by a lot of eyes ever since it was brought to life. People were curious at why this poster was disregarded. That is why so many people use it today. It is the knowledge that were don’t know of, that makes us more motivated to find out what we can know about it. Albert Einstein once said “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

In order to understand why someone would be so curious in the first place, you have to know its backstory. The “Keep Cal and Carry On” poster was originally going to be used by the British Ministry of Information during World War II. They wanted to inspire their citizens in desperate times. However, since the poster was never used then, what a better time than now? That, T am sure, is the major reason it became popular.

Many people were curious to the reason, why the poster was not used. Well, in the breach of Nazi forces ready to strike at any moment, they had to reassure and motivate their citizens. Two major posters were made for this, and were advertised. Even though many “Keep Calm and Carry On” posters were made, the aftermath of Britain’s destruction was more important to them at the moment. Design historian Susannah Walker said that it was “a resounding failure.”

For reasons given, the phrase “Keep calm” has influenced many people. People have recreated the poster to the most serious slogans, and to the silliest ones. Considering how big the internet is, the poster spread like a forest fire. Different stores were advertising and selling products that had the many different resurrections of the poster. It was a trend before people knew about the poster.

In conclusion, the poster was a resound failure. The irony of it though, is that so many people love the phrase “Keep Calm”. It is the success that the Ministry of Information never intended it to be. Of course were not in a WW III, but the popularity of it makes me smile. However, like most trends, it will eventually die away.

How to win Tom Cruises Heart

The Board Game:

Pregame:

       In order to fully understand and get the best experience while playing this game, you need to understand memes. I recommend downloading an app called “Ifunny” and indulging in the world of memes. This game will mainly revolve around;

Donald Trump, Noscoping, Call of Duty, 420 Blaze it, Trickshots, Eddy Wally, Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Bond, and Tom Cruise.

Once you are familiar with all this, and are with a group of friends who also understand memes, then this game will be just as fun as being drunk and trying to recite Romeo and Juliet at Sunday night church.

The story behind this game is simple. Tom Cruise, the meme god, is dying and all other memes are trying to race to become the next meme god.

The gameplay of this game is very simple.

Starting:

Gather 2-4 players, and assign a piece to each player. To choose who goes first, grab a 1, 2, 3, and a 4 card from the deck. Shuffle the 4 cards and assign one to each player. Whoever gets the 1 card will go first, then it will rotate clockwise around the board. Place the characters in the first place that isn’t the picture of the satanic Tom Cruise. Then begin playing!

Gameplay:

Turn:

Draw a card then move that many places.

If the space you land on has a player on it, then you get to trickshot them and force them to move back 2 places. If they move back 2 places and land on someone, then the 2nd player who was landed on gets trickshoted and sent back 2 spaces. The same happens if lands on a fourth player.

Ending:

Once you move across the whole board and get near the end, there is only one way to win. You have to get the exact amount of spaces it takes to get into Tom Cruises lair. If you are two spaces way, then you have to get a two card to win. Once you get in, then you have won! Once you have won, Tom Cruise loves you with all his heart, and he passes down his meme holiness to you, and now all the other opponents have been sacrificed.
