Cammi Creek is 16, 5ft 2 and is considered the “Regina George” of California. Her parents are part of one of the best bands in the US .She is careless, sometimes frustrated, and forgetful. She has to act that way because her parent’s manager is paying her so she can keep her parent’s band in the news and in any head of the US. But little does the world know that she is a good-spirited, confident, caring girl who wants to show the world who she is, not who she can be.
Mack Swell, 16, is part of the “Care for Cancer Organization” and wants help good spread in the world. She has short green hair and is about the size of Cammi, she has brown eyes and pale skin. She completely hates Cammi because of her attitude and “heart of dirt,” because she believes everything the world believes about who Cammi is. Her parents work hard at their jobs. Her mom is a teacher at the Art Institute of California and her dad is an engineer.
Cammi walks into the hallway of school with disgusted looks staring her down. She keeps her head up as she walks and whispers to herself “Don’t forget who you are and what you are.”
As Cammi walks down the hall, Mack whispers to herself.
Mack: Ugh! How does she even live with herself!
Cammi exits into History, her first class of the day and sits in the very front as Mack enters and sits in the very back.
After 45 minutes of glares on the back of her head, Cammi raises her hand and asks to go to the restroom.
Cammi: May I go to the restroom?
History Teacher: Yes, you may.
Cammi exits the room. Meanwhile Mack reaches in her bag and realizes she forgot her lunch in her locker. Mack raise her hand, teacher calls on her.
Mack: May I go to my locker?
History Teacher: Yes, you may.
As Mack walks to her locker she hears crying coming from the girls bathroom. She then walks towards the girls bathroom and enters and finds Cammi on the floor crying.
Mack: what are you crying for? (Disgusted Tone)
Cammi: I cant explain. (still crying)
Mack: If you can manage that attitude everyday I’m sure you can manage to explain to me what’s going on.
Cammi: I cant be this person anymore!
Mack: Finally! Did you actually look at yourself in the mirror this time!
Cammi: That’s not what I mean. I meant that I’m not who I act like.
Mack: What do you mean by that?
Mack sits down by Cammi
Cammi: I only act like this so my parents can get paid more. My boss pays my parents to act like “Regina George” so they can stay in the news so people will buy their music and go to their concerts.
Mack stares in astonishment at Cammi and ponders if she should believe her or not.
Cammi: If you don’t believe me its ok. I just needed to let that out because I’m tired of being who someone else wants me to be and I needed at least somebody to hear that.
Mack still stares in astonishment at Cammi and tries to wrap her head around it. Cammi looks at the ground relieved that she finally told someone, but also scared of what Mack was going to do about it.
Mack: So you’re saying all this time you have been acting like this for your parent’s money?
Cammi: Yes…
Mack: Wow.
Silence for a few seconds.
Mack: All this time I thought you had no brain or heart, but it turns out you have more than that.
Cammi smiles at Mack.
Mack: So what are you going to do now, you can’t go back to the way things were.
Cammi: Yes, but who’s going to believe me?
Mack: If I did then everyone will.
Cammi: But not everyone is like you, Mack.
Mack: Yes, but if we can show everyone the true you then they will.
Cammi: But how?
Mack: You’ll see, but for now we need to get back to class, and first thing after school we need to change your wardrobe to something more “you”.
Cammi: Oh! I always bring a change of clothes that I like everywhere so I can remind myself of who I really am.
Mack: Soon you won’t have to do that.
Cammi: I hope so.
Mack and Cammi stand up and Cammi goes into a stall to change into her old clothes as Mack exits the bathroom to grab her lunch from her locker. They meet up in the hall.
Mack: Wow! It’s amazing how clothes can change how a person looks.
Cammi: Is that a good thing?
Mack: Yes.
Cammi: What are people going to say, think, this is crazy I-
Mack cuts Cammi off.
Mack: Just be yourself and you’ll be ok.
Cammi: If you say so.
Mack and Cammi enter the History room. Students stare at Mack and Cammi as they walk towards the teacher. Mack talks to the History Teacher.
Mack: Cammi spilt apple juice on her pants so I helped her out. She had an extra pair of clothes to change into.
History Teacher: OK, but next time tell me so I can help you.
Cammi ignored all the stares. All that mattered to her is the fact that somebody knew who the true her was, was enough for her. She could finally be herself, something she was good at.

‘’Keep Calm and Carry On’’ posters were, and still are, used as a motivation throughout the world. What would people do with themselves without the quote?
Soldiers are one of the many examples of why Britain created this quote. Back in WW2 this quote was created by Britain to help motivate their soldiers to fight. It was something for them to know that their home was supporting them. The soldiers used this I time when the war was going on. They used this when they were fighting for freedom and justice.
It’s not only used for soldiers, but for the ones who are darkness and need a light to see. These people need something to think about, to keep the roller-coaster of life under control. Even though his roller-coaster may have a few twists and turns, it eventually comes to a stop. With the quote, its equivalent to the word ‘’stop’’. The light appears.
For the poor and homeless, this quote is most needed. It is the light to their darkness. It lights a small flame of hope, and when said over and over again, the flame grows. When at loss they remember the flame. All they have to do is keep calm and carry on.
Unknowingly, Britain didn’t realize what the quote would do and why there were deeper reasons behind it. Britain didn’t know what it would do to the world in the future. When the world is at loss and a cold and lonely place, make a fire. Let ‘’ Keep Calm and Carry On’’ be the gasoline, hope be the fire. When there comes a choice, either ignite the fire or let it burn cold. It depends if the darkness lingers, or the fire is hungry.

Discrimination against the word girl has to stop. Girl is an equal word, just like boy. The word shouldn’t be used in negativity because that is not what a girl is. A girl is more than a negative. A girl can make an impact on the world.
Gabby Douglas is a girl. She won a team gold medal in 2012 Summer Olympics for the U.S. Gabby is an example for girls being just as successful in sports as boys are. Just because the word girl is used in a negative stereotype doesn’t mean a girl is actually uncoordinated or not athletic. Girls like Gabby can and have succeeded in life.
Being a girl is a comfort zone for the gender. It is their strength it is what they know the most about and can take care of. The stereotypes against them tear down that comfort zone. It makes look at their selves like they’re not good enough. That’s not what a girl should feel. She should feel strong, determined, and beautiful because she is capable of anything she sets her mind to.
Being someone you’re not isn’t why people are in this world, but some girls don’t know that. The remainder of girls who do play like a girl and win. Everyone should have a chance to shine and show what they can do. Every girl needs to feel confident because being a girl isn’t a problem, the stereotype is.
The word girl is a determination for a female because it’s something to be proud of. If the stereotype were taken away it would reveal the true skills a girl has. It would show that there’s nothing that stands in the way of a girl and her dreams. You play like a girl, you win like a girl.
Shadow
As a kid, Felix never had any friends of his own. He was never bullied, noticed, or called on. Before his depression days, Felix had a happy family that took care of him. They would always go out in the vibrant meadow of flowers, outside of his small and cozy cottage. They would run and lay in it, Lost in the dazzling flowers that kept them from being anywhere close to negativity. The meadow had never been dark or shady. Even at night time it still was illuminated across the jet-black sky. Felix had a healthy heart, vibrant like the field of flowers, until receiving terrible news, it cast a shadow over his heart, killing the field of flowers, replacing it with the jet-black night sky. For his family had been lost in a tragic accident. They had all perished from jealousy of the village who envied their field of illumination, envied the connections Felix’s family had with each other. After five years, Felix began to disappear into his black heart, Lost in the negativity of his soul, yearning to get revenge. Eventually he became just like his heart, a shadow. This is why no one noticed him, this is why jealousy ruined the field of flowers.
After years of searching, the relatives of Felix's family gave up on hope for searching for poor Felix. Felix wandered through the field of dead flowers. Looking at them, you could compare them to Felix's soul. Felix never went back to a normal life. How could he? He learned the ways of his life. The perks of it was never letting go of his past, so his heart remained the same - jet black.
Years went by and Felix got lonelier by the minute. He considered becoming happy again, but his field of flowers had perished. Everywhere he went there was happiness. He saw kids playing in the streets playing hockey. That was once him. For the first time in a long time he smiled. For a minute he became human again. Only the smile didn't last, it became the same dull expression, his heart reflecting his expression.
His nightmares were the only feelings that kept him human. Terror and fear filled his dreams as the heard the torturing news over and over again. His family was dead. He couldn't wrap his head around it. "How?" Only he knew the answer perfectly well. Jealousy.
This is why we forgive. We learn from other's stories, tweaking ours along the way. We take care of our field of flowers, watering them, nurturing them, giving them happiness. We always remember what happened to Felix's flowers, perished like his family, future, and... happiness. This is why we have shadows, to remind us of the flowers that we have missed, the flowers that have perished.
