Nathaniel's crib
Hello I am Nathan . I am in the 8th grade. I have a family of four. My mom, dad, brother, and me. I play hockey and am really good at it. After high school I hope to draft into the NHL. After NHL I will go to college and do whatever I need to do to become a game programmer. In art I hope that we can design 3 D models but with this schools budget we probably are only going to be using paint.
Voki Paragraph
The Voki was very easy to create. It was a very friendly tool and gave me a lot of hints on what to do. A lot of little boxes and arrows pointing to where to create you character, input a voice, and everything else! It’s an easy process but if the web didn’t help you then I will!
First you need to get to the website (voki.com). Then you go to create. Cycle through all the different option on what you want your character to wear and look like. Also there is a few options on what you want you background to look like. Next go to the voice option. Select how you want it to sound then go to the text box and type what you want it to say. Click save!
Creating a Voki is a fun and easy process and I really enjoyed it. If you want it to portray you then it really can. Sometimes it can be an alien, an astronaut, and a lot of different things. If you want a digital character, I would recommend Voki.

Hockney Mashup Paragraph
It was Nathans first day of school. His first real day of school. He had been home schooled all summer because of his mother’s worries about what the students will think. Nathan has a birth defect where all of his face made a different expression. It was called differentfaceitis. He had this at birth and is the only human to have ever had it. It had some weird effects on him. His right ear breathed, and his left ear sucked. His left could see everything as a different shade of red. His right eye could see everything as a different shade of blue (This came very handy during a 3D movie).
Nathan was very anxious this morning about school. He had remembered his first and only day of school many years ago in Kindergarten. All the kids gave him strange looks and were whispering behind his back. One kid decided to go up to him and ask if he was a dog. Nathan ran home that day and decided to never go back to school. This would be hopefully different because he was going into his first day of 6th grade. He hoped that this would be different this year.
The car and Nathan were all ready to go. He climbed in and fastened himself. The car started and they were off on the fifteen minute drive to school. Nathan had a thousand thoughts racing through his mind as he looked at the passing trees and other students in passing cars. He finally made it to school, got out and tried to avoid eye contact as he went to the office. He got his schedule and computer (by the end of this everyone was in class) and made his way to class. He found his first class, art. He nervously made his way to knock on the closed door. After a short moment, the door opened.
He walked in and everyone gave him wierd glares. He started to get real nervous and sneezed out his nose (and toe) and made his way to the seat his teacher assigned him. He felt the stares from all around him. The teacher introduced him and the class welcomed him warmly. The class went, on math, English, then lunch came. Nathan got into the cafeteria and made his lunch and sat at an empty table. Some kids noticed and almost everyone started to come towards him and chat.
He made several friends that day, and at the end when he got into the car, he smiled (his hand did too) and he got home. The entire rest of the day he was imaging how the next day would go. He couldn't wait to go back to school.

I would use the color wheel to contrast colors in a nature work. It would be able to make the colors blend in well and give it a decent mood. The sky would fade using the color wheel and make it seem bright and happy. The forest would use the shades of green and blue and red and be a bright assortment of colors of the rainbow.
Vincent Van Goh painted a painting called “Wheat Fields” using Analogous colors. He blended all the colors really well and everything seemed very similar and right next to each other. The sky was white, yellow and blue and all the colors were of different shades. White blue and yellow was about the only color that was used except in different shades of bright, dark, etc. It was a beautiful painting by Van Goh.

This artwork was made using Tagxedo. A program that allows you to tweak and edit your pictures into something cool! In that artwork that I made, I turned a picture of my face into an artwork that expresses traits about me. I first hopped on to the website. Next I went to create and I uploaded a picture of me. I tweaked with the blue and motion until it was a black and white picture of me. Then I typed in 20 words about me and it made the shape of my body into those words. I edited the theme and I was done!
I made sure that the words that described me were perfect. Smart, handsome, beautiful. I am smart because I pretty much know about everything. I was 3rd in the school for math, and I can program about anything. I make servers and host at home (I make money from this). Handsome and beautiful is because of my hair. My hair is just divine.
This picture portrays me because it basically is made out of my traits. The words that best describe me are all over it. The color also, it my favorite color, blue and black. It was a cool project and I had a lot of fun making this amazing work of art. I found that it was very easy to make this artwork. The art was amazing, and the site was very cooperative. Except during the first week when we couldn't upload our words. I believe that I express myself more than a picture because I can talk, think, and tell you more about me than a picture made of words.

Graffiti is a kind of art that people do on walls in cities and on homes. It is a message that they create to express to the people that live in that city. Maybe if you are under a dictator’s rule, you would spray paint freedom on your home and people who pass by will see your message.
I created my Graffiti wall using a site called Postergen. I input some words, then I adjusted how I wanted it to look like and it gave me a Graffiti version of what I typed in. I put some 7 words that describe me and my name. I went into PowerPoint and put all of the words onto a brick wall that I chose. Then I was done!
The words I chose describe me. I feel that I am handsome, and very smart because of my amazing grades. I used the words from my heart as I brainstormed what describes me. I loved to do this project and the outcome was awesome.
Acrimboldo is an artist who used food to create many different paintings. He also did other normal paintings and painting that just used random objects to create a picture. He did not use other images because he didn’t have a computer because he wasn’t alive when computers were invented.
I chose to use these objects, because I wanted to create Donald Trump. The spaghetti hair represents his blonde toupee. His hotdog eyes represent his very squinty eyes he always has. His fish for arms represents how fishy he is.
I am Martin Van Buren. I was the thirteenth president of the United States of America. I was in presidency at a bad time and this gave me a bad name. I had a bad nickname and had some pretty bad problems.
One of these problems was known as the New York Panic. This was terrible issue that occured in my presidency and it involved the abuse of parents to their children. They were beating their kids way too hard and it sometimes caused death. It was such a terrible problem that I gladly didn't endure as a child.
As a child I was born in New York and I was with a very wealthy family. I went to school and ended up getting into politics much later in my life. I was eventually running for president and I made it! Sadly I got a bad name because of the problems I was elected into to. I will forever be known as Martin van Ruin.

I dont think time should be taken out of school for spirit on our teams because it takes out educational time and it just has no point. We are spending lots of money and time to compile together an event of music and dancing. I think it should just be for the little kids because it is more amusing for them.
Some people need their 8th period which gets taken out because of our Pep Rallies. Some people use 8th period to make up tests and get help with school work. Some use it for enrichment which is used as spare time to get homework done before they even make it home. Some people even have teacher tutors that they need during 8th period.
Also our newscast uses 8th period to film. Without newscast then we wouldn't know important announcements! 8th period is something we all need and trying to cheer on a team that can't win a single game is pretty useless. I don't think we should use our educational time for school spirit.

My zentangle was very easy and fun to make. It took me several, several, tries to get it done, but in the end it turned out amazing. The process was long and hard but in the end the work paid off with a master art work!
The zentangle started off with rough sketches. We sketched out different tangle designs and mastered them. We then put water color on shaving cream and make a colorful paper. We used our tangles and drew them onto the paper after we had mastered them. Afterwards we took a picture of the work. I then uploaded it to power point, made it look like it was etched in cobblestone and mashed up different parts of the artwork. Then I was done and had this!
My zentangle in its final stage is very much like it was etched in stone. Different color square stones. It was as if I had painted black patterns onto the colorful stones. The paint was in cool and mysterious shapes. The directions we everywhere and it made up cool patterns. I had set the stones all in one pile and you could see all the different colors of stones and designs! That is what my zentangle looks like.

The Burning Dog
Imagine a whole year of summer with no rain. The land is very dry and arid, and water is scarce. Basically California this year. That is where this story takes place. A hot summer and the average man is on his way to work in a red truck. This man is Tuck. This story is not about him, but his dog instead.
Tuck the II, a very fierce pit bull. His owner Tuck, allows him to wander outside when he is gone. Today, Tuck is at work and Tuck II is very happy to go out and explore. He exits the house, passes the red truck, smelling of strange gasoline, and goes out into the little forest left standing near their home.
Tuck II loves to kill things. He will jump off trees and land on birds just for the laughs. He loves to get bloody paws. Today, he killed a very sticky and black bird. It smelled just like the truck. He shrugged and carried it home in the heat. When he got home, the bird was getting very hot. Tuck II waited on the doorstep for his owner. Everyday after work Tuck would take Tuck II to the park.
It was a few hours before the fuming red truck came to stop in the driveway and honked. Tuck II carried the smoking black bird into the back of the truck and threw it onto a red barrel. The bird was smoking a lot and Tuck II ignored it and looked out the back of the truck. They drove for maybe an hour before the car screeched to a halt and Tuck came out of the truck screaming.
Tuck II ignored Tuck and thought of Tuck as going insane. Tuck II was feeling very hot. Tuck II was in pain, but he shrugged. Tuck II was feeling very toasted so he licked his mane only to find his mane was only skin. Tuck II was very, very hot now. Tuck was also tired. Tuck laid down. Tuck was taking a nap.

The keep calm and carry on poster is a symbol that was on a rise but has died down. When it was at very large fame, it was a sort of propaganda for clubs, or just for humor. This led to the widespread of the meme. The poster is catchy, simple, and has meaning behind it. Please listen in so I can discuss each topic in depth.
One thing I would note about its rise, is the catchy tune that follows it. Keep calm and carry on is a very pleasant sentence that sounds nice and soothing on your ears. With this catchy tune, others made more tunes that advertised an item. With the new catchy tunes everywhere, everyone wanted to create their own. This lead to the mass widespread of the poster.
Another is its simple and changeable concept. Whenever of the idea of changing the text to your liking, “keep calm”, was introduced, millions of people started to change the text. Clubs advertised their clubs with this slogan, and other fandoms started making show related slogans. Other clubs saw this propaganda and easily changed poster, and jumped into the fun. Poster came up everywhere on buildings, and on social media.
Lastly, another reason is its story. Us humans love museums and like to take trips into the past. When we hear the story about the poster and see it, we like to imagine us in the times of war. Or just really like looking at the poster. This led to those who love to dive into the past come to see it which led to them spreading it, which led to other people seeing it, which then lastly led to the spread to everyone. This spread happened very fast.
These impacts have created propaganda, and the meme we know today. It has been passed all over the internet, and on our walls. By now, most of us on the internet know the phrase, “keep calm, and carry on”. It has a part of advertisement, and has a meaning in the world. Its historic background, catchy tune, and simple design, have created websites, and advertisements that we see everywhere.

In our world today, us children and teens will one day find ourselves as adults. Once we do reach that point we wonder, what’s next? Some will have help, and other will be clueless leading to bad decisions. These bad decisions will hurt our economy. We need to fix this now. Please listen in if you want to make America better.
The decisions required to live a good life are not covered our taught at all in mandatory school programs. These will lead to the event of the bad decisions we were talking about. If these programs are not taught and made a mandatory class early in high school years, and late in high school years, then we will have clueless and struggling citizens. These citizen will turn into bad characters. Some will lead to most being homeless, and some becoming criminals.
What are the four standards that must be taught? Math, English, History, and Science. Yes we do need to learn the wide basics of these standards, but to what measure. We need to have classes that branch out into different categories, and a regular line that just teaches the basics of these topics. If you want to become a medical expert, then you can take medical classes. If you just want to get through school, then take a regular class. With these class, we need to take time out of them and make a block of extra time for a ninth period. In this ninth period, we need to have a mandatory class for one semester, and a class of your choice for the second semester. The mandatory class needs to be life preparation.
With it being taken one semester of every year, it will help all of our students as a whole. When a student decides to drop out, then they will have the basic skills. How to manage their life, and become somewhat successful. And for those that go graduate, we will have a strong workforce that knows how to manage bills, payments, and knows where to invest and know what not to buy. This will create a better and smarter adult population.
An extra class to learn the basics of adult hood will make America better. The economy will improve, we will save some lives, and the advancement of the human race will advance faster. This will make humans greater and our country the greatest. With an economy already great, we will boost past all the other countries and become supreme. Please consider my request and help the cause to help America.
How to win Tom Cruises Heart
The Board Game:
Pregame:
In order to fully understand and get the best experience while playing this game, you need to understand memes. I recommend downloading an app called “Ifunny” and indulging in the world of memes. This game will mainly revolve around;
Donald Trump, Noscoping, Call of Duty, 420 Blaze it, Trickshots, Eddy Wally, Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Bond, and Tom Cruise.
Once you are familiar with all this, and are with a group of friends who also understand memes, then this game will be just as fun as being drunk and trying to recite Romeo and Juliet at Sunday night church.
The story behind this game is simple. Tom Cruise, the meme god, is dying and all other memes are trying to race to become the next meme god.
The gameplay of this game is very simple.
Starting:
Gather 2-4 players, and assign a piece to each player. To choose who goes first, grab a 1, 2, 3, and a 4 card from the deck. Shuffle the 4 cards and assign one to each player. Whoever gets the 1 card will go first, then it will rotate clockwise around the board. Place the characters in the first place that isn’t the picture of the satanic Tom Cruise. Then begin playing!
Gameplay:
Turn:
Draw a card then move that many places.
If the space you land on has a player on it, then you get to trickshot them and force them to move back 2 places. If they move back 2 places and land on someone, then the 2nd player who was landed on gets trickshoted and sent back 2 spaces. The same happens if lands on a fourth player.
Ending:
Once you move across the whole board and get near the end, there is only one way to win. You have to get the exact amount of spaces it takes to get into Tom Cruises lair. If you are two spaces way, then you have to get a two card to win. Once you get in, then you have won! Once you have won, Tom Cruise loves you with all his heart, and he passes down his meme holiness to you, and now all the other opponents have been sacrificed.

How Dreams End Script:
(Enter to an ice rink and with only two people on the ice. A player (Aaron) and a coach (Stanley). They are skating around and practicing drills as the coach is yelling at the player)
Stanley: Harder.
Aaron: *Sigh* Alright coach.
(Aaron does a drill in seconds and comes back with only a drop of sweat)
Stanley: Harder.
Aaron: Ok coach.
(Aaron does the drill again faster and is still the same state)
Stanley: Even Harder.
Aaron: Coach, you can only do a drill to a certain extent. I think I’ve mastered this skill. And every other thing you try to teach me.
Stanley: *sigh* You are right. My weak bones can’t teach you much anymore at your level. I think it’s time to get you out there.
(Stanley and Aaron both return to their homes and rest. The next day they meet in the locker rooms with special news.)
(Stanley and a Recruiter enter the locker room where Aaron is fully dressed in gear.)
Recruiter: Hello, are you Aaron?
Aaron: Yes sir?
Recruiter: Well I was told you have quite the skill and I am here to watch you do a list of drills real quick to see if you are pro material.
(Aaron gets very excited, puts on a helmet and enters the ice. Stanley follows with the list in hand.)
Stanley: Alright, let’s do this.
(Aaron begins skating very hard drills and somehow aces each one, in a succession like no other player. After an hour of skating Aaron exits the ice and undresses waiting for the Recruiter’s call.)
(Recuiter enters the locker room)
Aaron: So, how did I do?
Recruiter: Well Aaron, you are of the best skill on your age level. We are going to place you in our very special youth NHL program.
(Aaron gets very excited and heads home that day to bring the special news to his parents.)
Aaron: Mom, dad I did it!
Mom: Yay! You are going to go to big places Aaron!
Dad: I’m proud of you son.
(Aaron rests and heads out for the NHL youth facility the next day)
Player 1: Hey, look at the new kid.
Player 2: Heard he’s better than all of us eh?
Player 1: Yeah, We will see I guess.
(All the players head out onto the ice with Aaron and begin scrimmaging a practice game.)
(Aaron scores 3 goals and gets a hat trick. He skates around every player and delivers the best checks in the league. All the players get very jealous. Mcgill gets very jealous. It was time for proper checking drills and Aaron was up.)
Mcgill: Hey, Grim, watch this one.
(Aaron skates up to take a check and Mcgill pushed his entire lower body into Aaron’s exposed leg. It snaps and Aaron falls to the ground.)
Aaron: No! Agh!
Mcgill: Oh no!
(Everyone stares in fright at the sight of a broken leg on one of the best players. The ambulance rushes in and carries Aaron all the way to hospitsal.)
Aaron: Am I gonna be alright?
Paramedic: I cant tell, it looks pretty bad.
(Sitting on the back of the ambulace is a pile of gear that had to be cut off of Aarons leg with powerful scissors.)
(The ambulance arrives at the hospital and brings Aaron to a hospital bed where his parents are waiting in shock.)
Mom: Oh my god, my son!
Dad: Calm down Barbra, he will be alright. We will just have to wait for the doctor.
(The doctor comes in to take an xray and leaves. After countless hours he returns.)
Mom: Is my son going to be ok?
Doctor: Well, from what we see, his left leg is broken, but in a very strange and special way. The impact has torn the tissue between his bone and muscle and the now they meet. Im afraid to say that his leg will heal, but he will not be able to use it the same ever again.
Mom: So does that mean he will never play hockey again?
Doctor: I am afraid so.
(Aaron sits back in the bed and cries.)
(After 4 days in the hospital, Aaron is sent home with a long cast embraced onto his leg. He goes on a whole year of recovery and therapy and eventually can support himself with walking sticks and no cast.)
(Aaron is sitting down in the stands of the ice rink when Stanley approaches him)
Stanley: Hey Aaron.
Aaron: *sigh* Hey coach.
Stanley: I heard a while ago about you, never thought I would see you again.
Aaron: Yeah… I just wanted to come back to watch my old self.
Stanley: It will be ok. If anything you can become an assistant coach.
Aaron: Really?
Stanley: Yeah, you won’t be able to skate but you can inspire with your words and help around by giving tips. You can still be just as close to hockey.
Aaron: I will think about it, for now I am going to watch and be sad.
Stanley: Suit yourself. Have a good day Aaron.
Aaron: Yeah, you too coach.
(Stanley walks away and the scene fades as Aaron sits back and watches the players skate)
