I made a Voki that reflected what I’m like and the things I think are cool. When Mrs. Wilson told us to go to Voki and make our character I got excited because I love to make avatars. I had to pick a person, then I had to pick what color I wanted their features. After I got done with that I had to pick out their voice and put what they had to say in the voice box thing. When all those steps were done I uploaded it to this website, so now everyone can enjoy my voki! I think my Voki is very unique and very fun.

You can use the colors in the color wheel to make amazing pieces of artwork. Colors that are next to each other on the color wheel usually match, they can create serene and comfortable designs. Warm colors on the color wheel tend to make you think about heat and sunlight. Cool colors on the color wheel can give an expression of calm and create soothing artwork. These are just a few basic things you could use on the color wheel to make beautiful, amazing artwork, but there is plenty more.
There are many different artist that use the color wheel as inspiration in their art. I have chosen one artist that uses the color wheel, her name is Shirley Williams. Shirley Williams paints contemporary abstract landscapes and acrylic paintings. Unlike most artist instead of working with a palette she loves to explore the entire color wheel. She likes to discover new and cool ways to make different color schemes. People call her the “color expert” she is very inspiring and worth your time to find out more about her.

Jordan was in science class talking to her friends. She heard someone say her name, she looked over her shoulder and acknowledged the person that said her name. The person looked at Jordan and called her a Wombat. Jordan was confused so she looked up “Wombat” on Google. When she finally saw what a wombat was she was offended and called the person a Blob fish. After she had just been called a Wombat she lost confidence in her looks. BUT WAIT… Jordan had a photo shoot in 1 day! How could she ever go looking like a “Wombat”!
Science class had just ended, so Jordan went on to 8th period, but on the way to 8th period she realized she couldn’t show her face in that class now. She quickly hurried in the bathroom and wrapped paper towels around her face so no one would recognize her. She strutted out the bathroom and went on to 8th period. After sitting down for a while Jordan wondered what time it was, but she couldn’t see because all of the paper towels still covered her face. Luckily Jordan was smart enough and poked a peep hole through the paper towels with a pencil. It was almost 3:00 she watched the clock. Finally the bell rung, she jumped up and ran out the school.
Jordan was running so fast she heard Alexis say “RUN JORDAN RUN!” She passed the school district so she just keep on running. She headed straight for Scrub Mountain. On the way she might have ran into a couple poles and trees, but after a couple of minutes Jordan made it too Scrub Mountain. When she arrived to the mountains she took off all the paper towels. Only to discover Shrek was standing right in front of her… She saw his face and he started grinning so she took off running again. She ran into a dark cave. She got lost in the cave and couldn’t see anything.
Finally she saw a great light coming from the back of the cave. She looked over and hesitated she walked very slowly towards the light. When she got closer she gasped… and couldn’t believe her eyes! It was the GREAT AND POWERFUL UNICORN! She was completely amazed by the majestic creature. Then all the sudden the Great Unicorn said “I have been expecting you Jordan”. All the sudden Jordan got worried. The Great Unicorn again spoke and said “You know longer want to look like a Wombat? Come here child.” Jordan slowly made her way towards the unicorn. When she got close enough the Unicorn hit her upside the head with his mighty horn! She blacked out.
When Jordan woke up she was In the middle of a room full of mirrors. She got up and looked at her self. She realized that she had NEVER LOOKED LIKE A WOMBAT! That unicorn had hit her hard with some CONFIDENCE! Jordan was Swagalishious. She left the room full of mirrors and headed straight for Mountain Gap Middle School, in her new 2015 Mustang Convertible that she found on the side of the road. When she arrived in the parking lot, she hopped out of the car and again strutted into the school. She busted the doors open and people stopped and starred. She headed straight for the Art room and found Cheyenne. She looked her straight in the eye and said “I’m ready for that photo shoot”. They headed out into the hallway and Jordan laid on the floor and did the best pose ever! So this is why you should never call someone a Wombat because they can just run to Scrub Mountain and find the Magical Unicorn to hit them with confidence, and then they’ll be more swag then you.

This is an expressive portrait of me, the words represent my personality. I went to Taxedo.com to create this artwork. I inserted a picture of me and adjusted the picture to how I wanted it. After I fixed my picture I inserted the words I picked to represent my personality. When I was done inserting the words I saved them and then it created my photo.
For this piece of artwork we had to pick 30 words that reflected our personality. The words I think represented me the most were Fun, Funny, Crazy, and Lovable. I picked “Fun” because I like to do different things with people and they always tell me “I’m really fun”. I also picked Funny because I believe I have a great since of humor and I love to make people laugh. The next word I picked was Crazy, and I believe I am pretty crazy because I’m a daredevil and will do pretty much anything you say no matter how dumb it is. Last but not least I think I’m very lovable, but only to the people that like happy and upbeat people.
This assignment was used to be an expressive portrait. I believe it did capture and explain me more than a regular picture. I like how the words wrap around into the shape of my face. Also if you looked at a regular picture of me you couldn’t tell what my personality was just by looking at me. With this portrait though you can see the shape of my face but you can also read the words that describe me. In conclusion I think this assignment was very fun and cool.

Graffiti is “writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place.” To some people it’s more than scribbles, it’s their way of expressive art. Why do people do graffiti? There are many reasons for example, some people might be bored and that’s their way of having fun. Some people might do graffiti illegally, so they can get the feeling of adrenaline rush when they run away from the cops. There are many more reasons, but these are some examples.
In the picture you see a digital graffiti wall. You can make one of these at http://postergen.com/graffiti-creator. When you get to the website, go to the box in the corner and inter any word you like, then it will pop up on the little brick wall. After this you scroll down and pick the font and the color of the font. When you are finished with this save your image to your computer. Then pull up PowerPoint and enter your images and cut the backgrounds off them. After you’re done adjusting your words insert the brick wall background and then you’re done!
I choose these words for my graffiti I believe there the best words to describe my personality. I picked funny because I’m hilarious and I love to make people laugh. I also picked unique because no one is just like me. These are just two words I choose for my wall there are a couple more. In conclusion I choose these words because they are me!

Acrimboldo was a painter during the Renaissance period. He used fruits, vegetables, fish, and trees for his paintings. He wanted his paintings to be more portrait like so he made the food and trees into faces. He used these things in his paintings for humor purposes. Some were serious, and some were not so serious. Acrimboldo was born into a rich family and had been painting since his childhood. He liked using the food paintings and turning them into human forms. Someone noticed his art work and so then he made it into a career.
When I was creating my own “food face” I decided I wanted to use breakfast foods. So I tried to match all the breakfast foods I could think of into a face. I used the hash brown hair, egg eyes, and bacon ears for example. I thought it was really cool how I could blend these elements together to create a face. My favorite part of my “food face” is the butter cheeks. I put these breakfast items together because I thought it would be unique and different.








I believe we should take time out of instruction to do activities to build school spirit. I think we should do this because it helps make the school a better place and better environment. Also I believe it would encourage students to participate in more school activities. One more thing, I believe if the students of a school had a huge amount of school spirt, the school could be greatly noticed and more people would enroll in the school. These are some of the reasons I believe we should take time out of instruction to build school spirit.
If people spent more time on building a better school by improving the attitude, students wouldn’t dread or “hate” school so much. By building the attitude towards a school more people will be happier about their school life, if you make school a positive place. Most schools don’t make a lot of effort to improve the attitude of school, but if we do then we shall expect positive effects. This is also another reason we should build school spirit.
These t-shirts that we made to represent the 50th year of MGMS, is a great example of school spirit. We should do more activities like this. By doing activities or projects for your school it will make the school atmosphere more fun and interesting. Also by building school spirit, you can make your students feel proud about their school. In conclusion we should take time out of instruction to work on school spirit for all the reasons above.

I thought the zentangle project was very fun and cool. It took a little time to create my zentangle though. You have to put a lot of thought into this kind of artwork. First we took a blank sheet of paper and then I was absent but we had to do something to the background. After that Mrs. Wilson gave us a website to look up all the different zentangles, so we could choose some to draw on our paper.
When you start your zentangle you should always have a scrap piece of paper to try out the zentangles before you put them on your final paper. Always when making your zentangle don’t try and leave a lot of spaces in between your zentangles. You want them as close as possible. When I was making my zentangle I was very focused because you have to make sure you draw the lines just right. Also you need to make some of your zentangles dark and some light so they blend together.
When you are finishing up your zentangle examine it and make sure you didn’t make any mistakes. After that if you want to you can trace the lines on your zentangle to make them look darker. When I got done with my zentangle I took a picture of it, and uploaded onto my computer. I took the picture then and loaded it up on an editing website and I edited it to make it look neater. You don’t have to do this I only did this because I am in Graphic Arts and we have to use the computer. After all of this I was pretty content with my edits, so then I uploaded onto my website, as you can see above.

There once was a little dear, his name was Wilfred. Wilfred always wanted to be successful and have the most stuff. He was always mean and he would never get what he wanted. He didn’t understand why he was never successful and why he never could get a job. It was really because Wilfred was really bossy. Wilfred tried and tried to get a job but it was helpless, people just didn’t like him.
One day Wilfred was taking a walk down the field. He stopped and saw an old deer lying on the ground. He heisted and was trying to decide if he should help the old deer. He finally galloped over there and saw what was wrong with the old deer. The old deer had pasted out and was shivering. Wilfred was very concerned and dragged the old deer to an animal hospital. After that Wilfred visited the old deer every day. They became very close. One day Wilfred walked into the animal hospital, but something was wrong the old deer wasn’t in his usual room. Wilfred asked the worker where the old dear was, the worker told Wilfred that the old deer had passed away last night. Wilfred was destroyed and he paid the worker the money for his medical bills and left.
One day after the death of the old deer, Wilfred got a call. It was someone from the animal hospital. They wanted to offer Wilfred a job for all his good deeds and with helping with the old deer. Wilfred was excited he could finally have a job and maybe even be successful. Wilfred started working every day and loved his job, taking care of all the sick animals. He became successful and bought himself the first ever hover board which he fell in love with it.





Instructions
Hero is a game that involves defeating monsters and becoming the best. In Hero your objective is to get to the castle at the end of the board game and have the most points. Whoever has the most points at the end becomes the king’s bodyguard.
How to play
- There will be one dice. Each player in the beginning will roll the dice and however gets the highest number gets to go first. Also roll the dice to see how many squares you move.
- Each player needs to also pick their game piece (The army men)
- This game is for 3-4 players
- If you and your partners are all stuck trying to defeat monster cards pick up the dice and whichever player rolls the highest gets to go on and collect their points.
What does this symbol mean?
- If you land on a square with a “?” on it, it means to pick up a chance card. The chance card will also have the “?” on them. Read the chance card and do what it says.
- If you land on a square that has a swirly symbol on it, it means you have the chance to get a monster card. If you land on this symbol you have the choice to either get a monster card or keep going.
- When you get to the square that says “Stop” you stop immediately on that square. You have to have 30 monster points to pass the square and cross the bridge. If you do not have 30 monster points you are bumped back all the way to the square that has an X on it.
- If you land on a square with the circle with a slash threw it you have to return your most recent monster card.

Characters
Rose: a 14 year old girl that’s very optimistic and has a kind hearted personality. Also very independent and stubborn. She’s 5ft 3” tall with brown hair and blue eyes. She’s getting ready to enter high school and take on a new unfamiliar world until she finds someone special through her hard times.
Cross: a 14 year old boy that’s kind of shy but is very humorous. He also deals with a lot of low self-esteem even though he’s quite flawless. He’s 5ft 11” tall with black hair and green eyes. He’s having problems finding out the real him until he meets someone who solves all his problems.
Kimberly: The mother of rose. Takes great pride in her job as a real estate agent. 5ft 8” tall with dark brown hair with blue eyes. Her personality is also kind hearted but she’s often serious most the time.
Jackson: Rose’s ex-boyfriend. Very secretive personality. 6ft 2” tall with brown hair and brown eyes with lots of freckles.
Sydney: Rose closest girlfriend. Vey giddy personality. 5ft tall with brown hair and blue eyes.

Rose: *Pulls out phone and begins to text Jackson* “Hey is everything alright you haven’t text me in a while” *Waits for Jackson to text back*
Jackson: *Begins responding back* “No”.
Rose: *texting* “what’s wrong”

Rose: “Please you know you can tell me anything” “I’m just trying to help please tell me”
Jackson: “No” “Just leave me alone”.
Rose: *Begins to cry and puts up phone and goes downstairs*
Kimberly: *sees rose upset and has a confused look* “Hey sweetheart are you ok?”
Rose: *Begins to tear up again* “Jackson won’t tell me what’s wrong with him and he told me to leave him alone”
Kimberly: *Very sad expression cast upon her face* “Rose I got a text from Jackson’s mom…. They are having a huge fight and are going to get a divorce”
Rose: *Begins to sob* “WHY!?”
Kimberly: “I don’t know… they’ve had problems for years”
Rose: *Runs to her room and cry’s herself to sleep that night*
Rose: *Wakes up and looks at her phone, there’s a text from Jackson saying “Hey”* *A smile crosses her face* *begins to text back* “hey”
Jackson: *Reply’s back and acts cool* “Wrud”
Rose: *texting* “Are you ok, my mom told me everything, I’m here for you”
Jackson: “I’m fine”
*The next 3 days things get better between Jacksons parents, but those whole 3 days are filled with fighting between Rose and Jackson. Rose cry’s a lot during these times*
Rose: *walks her dog with her friend and tells her friend all about what’s going on between her and Jackson* “I can’t believe he would just use me like this! I never did anything to him! Maybe we’re just not right for each other… it’s just I care so much about him. *Begins to slightly tear up*
Rose’s friend: “It’s going to be ok he’s just being a jerk”
Rose: *still teary eyed* “I hope so”
*Rose and her friend walk back to Rose’s house* *they run upstairs and Rose picks up her phone* *There’s a message from Jackson*
Jackson: *Texts Rose* “Hey I think we should break up I just have to much pressure on me right now with going into high school and being on the band and everything I hope you understand”
Rose: *Looks at her phone amazed by what Jackson just said after everything they’ve been through* *She texts back* “Ok”
Jackson: “ok”
Rose:*Rose looks at her friend* “It’s over”
Rose’s friend: *Looks very disappointed* “Oh I’m so sorry Rose, you don’t need him”
Rose: *Tenses up and gives a relaxing breath* “I’m fine” *Smiles* “At least I don’t have to worry about him”
*The summer passes Rose was ok some of the way but she felt miserable, because of Jackson she felt no one would want her and that she would just be used*
*The first day of 8th grade Rose gets ready in her room she’s excited but nervous she doesn’t think of Jackson anymore because it just brings pain*
Rose: *whispers to herself* “Ok Rose you got this” *Gives a smile and walks out the door*
Kimberly: *screams for Rose* “COME ON WE HAVE TO GO!”
Rose: *Screams back* “OK IM COMING!” *she grabs her lunch box and heads out the door*
*Rose enters the new school building* *they guide her towards the lunch room, where everyone turns their heads and stares at her* *This only last a couple seconds then things turn back to everyone talking* *She walks in when a boy greets her, he has a high pitched voice, he says his name is Ethan*
Ethan: *smiling* “Hey Rose”.
Rose: *looking surprised* “Hi”.
*Rose looks over and sees Sydney sitting at a table*
Rose: “SYDNEY!”
Sydney: *Looks over* “ROSE!”
*Both of them together say “OMG I MISSED YOU!”* *they see that they’re yelling and decide to sit down*
Rose: *Looking around* “How was your summer?”
Sydney: “Good how about yours?”
Rose: “Good I Guess…”
Sydney: *Looking around* “Lol, there’s not really any cute boys here”

*The bell rings as the go to class, Ethan is starting to annoy her because he keeps coming up to her and staying with her everywhere* *Ethan and Rose go to different classes, Since Ethan’s not around she makes a new friend her name is Cindy* *The bell rings again and Cindy and Rose walk outside* *Rose walks to her locker* *She turns around and sees a really cute boy running in the hallways laughing* *She stops and stares for a moment her heart beats fast*
*Lunch comes and Rose, Cindy, and Sydney are sitting at a lunch table* *Of course all the sudden Ethan joins* *Rose sees the boy she saw in the hallway sitting across at a table across from then* *Rose loses all focus and can’t keep her eyes of the boy* *She’s puzzled at why she’s so attracted to him and then she thinks to herself “Stop no one will ever love you for who you are they’ll just use you”* *The rest of lunch Is spent talking to her friends and looking at the boy* *The bell rings*
Rose: “Cindy who’s that boy over there” *she points at the boy she’s been looking at*
Cindy: *Looks over* “Oh, his name is Cross, He’s hilarious and a great friend”
Rose: *Thinks to herself “I love people with a sense of humor, because I’m quite humorous myself”* “Oh ok thank you”.
Cindy: “No problem”.
*The rest of the day she thinks about Cross*
*The next day at school goes ok but she still doesn’t have the courage to talk to Cross* *Also this is the day she tells Ethan that she doesn’t want to date him and they should just be friends*
*The 3rd day of school* *7th period*
Cross: *is sitting by himself at a table on his computer*
Rose: * Thinks “Ok Rose, here is your chance” so without second thoughts she walks over and takes a seat next to Cross* “Hey Cross”.
Cross: “Hey”.
Rose: *Thinks “wow he knows my name” and looks surprised* “Lol, what are you looking at?”
Cross: “Just some funny videos” *he proceeds to play one and they begin to laugh*
*The teacher turns the lights off and begins to teach* *Cross pulls up “Google Translate” and begins to type in what the teacher is saying exactly like we hear it, in a thick ghetto accent* *They begin to laugh as google translate turns the ghetto words into other languages* *Rose looks at Cross and they both meet eyes and begin to blush* *Jordan goes home that day and has a message from Cross*
Cross: *text* “Hey Gurl”
Rose: *Texting back while smiling* “Haaiii”
Cross: *Texting back* “Wrud?”
*They begin to text back and forth and Cross asks for Rose’s number* *Later on that day Rose gets grounded, and is very upset because now she has no way of talking to Cross*
Rose: *Sobbing* “Mom please let me have my phone back!”
Kimberly: *Looking upset* “NO! Rose you can get it back in a month”
Rose: *Looking infuriated* “A MONTH!?”
Kimberly: *Relaxes a little* “Yeah so go to your room”
Rose: *Runs up in her room crying and doesn’t come out for the rest of the day*
*The next day at school in 7th period*
Cross: *Looking puzzled* “So why is your phone been taken away for a month?”
Rose: *gets mad at the thought* “Ethan texted me something really stupid and so now she grounded me for it because I was talking to him”
Cross: “what’d he text you?”
Rose: “Do you worship the Booty?” *Rose looks mad and also smiles a little because it’s ridiculous*
Cross: *Bust out laughing* “You got in trouble for that!?”
Rose: “Yeah”
*A week and a half goes by Cross and Rose talk a little but only during 7th period* *until something happens…*
*One day at school*
Rose: *She sees Cross coming down the hallway and is super excited* “Hey Cross!” *In a springing voice*
Cross: *Looks at her and turns the other way and shakes his head*
Rose: *Confused* “What?”
Cross: *continues to walk*
Rose: *Grabs Cross’s arm* “Cross please talk to me please”.
Cross: * Pushes her off gently and goes to class*
Rose: *Stands in the middle of the hallway she begins to run to the bathroom to cry but remembers “it’s nothing to cry about its not like anyone likes you anyways”*
*Rose finds Sydney later on* *She tells Sydney what is happening as Sydney begins to smile a little bit*
Sydney: “I know why he’s not talking to you.”
Rose: *anticipation crosses her face* “Why?”
Sydney: “Because I told him you were making fun of him”
Rose: “WHAT!?” “I have never done that, yeah I’ve used some of his jokes but only because I thought they were funny”
Sydney: “Oh well it looked like you were making fun of him”
Rose: “No I would never do that”
Sydney: “Ok”
*Rose tells Sydney to tell Cross that she never made fun of him, but Sydney never does because Rose and Cross never talk as much as they used to* *Rose goes home and cry’s some of the time because she thought she had a chance at happiness once again, but she realizes that will never happen because there’s always something wrong with her*
*A couple of days later at school*
Sydney: *excited* “Omg Cross likes me”
Rose: *suddenly stops and thinks of all the feelings she has for Cross, now she suddenly just wants to die* “What…?”
Sydney: “Yeah should I date him I mean he’s funny and all but…”
Rose: “But what?”
Sydney: “I guess he’s kind of cute”
Rose: *thinks to herself* “Kind of wow she must be blind, there are at least 10 things I love about him off the bat, not just “He’s funny” *talking to Sydney* “Sydney I like cross”
Sydney “Well to bad he likes me”
Rose: *Begins to get teary eyed but full of anger* “Ok”
*Rose go homes and proceeds to cry as she does almost every day when she gets home* *A couple of days go by and Rose gets cross to talk to her a little more* *Rose tries to get Cross not to like Sydney the best she can* *But within the week Cross asks Sydney out but they only date for 2 days because Sydney wouldn’t stop flirting with one guy* * Rose becomes SO HAPPY when she hears about the break up* *And within the next couple days Rose gets her phone back*
Rose: *Runs up the stairs grabs her phone and first thing texts Cross* “HEYYYY”
Cross: “OMG HEY”
*Rose and Cross have an awesome conversation and within the next couple of days Cross asks her out* *Of course she says yes and they become best friends off the bat* *She loves him with all her heart and he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her*
*7 months later* *Cross and Rose are on a walk*
Cross: *takes out his camera* “Hey beautiful stand over there”
Rose: *smiles and walks toward the spot where the clouds are big and fluffy and the birds are flying*
Cross: *Smiles* “I love you”
*Rose smiles big at the phrase and the picture is taken*
